Fan Lau Tung Wan is located in the Lantau South Country Park at the east bay of Fan Lau, which is one of the most western beach in Hong Kong. The beach has crystal clear water and fine sand, in addition it has no obstacles in front, the landscape is super open. While enjoying the stunning scenery of the Lantau Sea, you can also enjoy the sunrise from the most amazing point of the whole Lantau Island. It’s definitely one of the most beautiful beach in Hong Kong.

How To Get To Fan Lau Tung Wan｜Fan Lau Tung Wan Transportation
Method (1) – Speedboat: Chartering Splitdyboat’s Speedboat at Tai O boarding at Fan Lau Sai Wan Pier
Step (1): Make a booking to Fan Lau Tung Wan on Splitdyboat’s website in advance, we provide pair-up service and speedboat charter service for you going to Fan Lau Tung Wan.
Step (2): Take Bus 11 (to Tai O) from Tung Chung Town Centre, Alight at Tai O Bus Terminus, and Go to Tai O Bridge to meet our boatman.
Method (2) – Hiking: Starting from Tai O or Sha Tsui
*Since there is no public transport directly going to Fan Lau Sai Wan, if you are going to camping, it is only suitable for experienced hikers and campers, as it takes around 3 hours hiking-distance to go there starting from Tai O, without mentioning that you have to carry your own camping gear, which is so strenuous.*
Starting from Tai O
Step (1): Take Bus 11 (to Tai O) or Bus 1 (to Tai O) from Mui Wo, Alight at Tai O Bus Terminus
Step (2):Enter Lantau Trail Stage 7 through Nam Chung Tsuen
Starting from Sha Tsui
Step (1): Take Bus 11 (to Tai O) or Bus 23 (to Ngong Ping) from Tung Chung Town Centre, Alight at Sha Tsui Bus Stop
Step (2): Enter Lantau Trail Stage 8 through Wang Pui Road towards Kau Ling Chung direction, follow by Lantau Trail Stage 7 towards Fan Lau and Tai O.
*Both route would take about 3 hours to arrive at the entrance of the site.*
