Ma Shi Chau Special Area – Center Island
In 1999, Center Island was planned as part of the Ma Shi Chau Special Area, along with three other islands in Tolo Harbour, namely Ma Shi Chau, Yeung Chau and an unnamed island about 100 meters northeast of the Yan Tin Tsai coast near San Mun Tsai New Village. While in 1982, Ma Shi Chau and Centre Island have been registered as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
